COMPENDIUM

Ever since the release of my first book ‘The Mushroom Garden’ back in 2021 I have been working away on my next book. It is called ‘The Wildered Lands’ and it is a further exploration of the same world, taking place in the wilderness that surrounds the Mushroom Garden. The Garden itself features in the story, but my focus this time was on the stories of the trees and creatures that fill the surrounding lands. With this piece I have started to create folk tales and fables that relate to the surrounding woodlands, These are all tied together by a central adventure story. Once I completed my first draft of the book, I began the illustration work, and as I was working on this, more tales popped into my head, mini stories and creatures that live in that same land. My new collection here ‘Compendium’ is a collection of these stories, a closer look at this strange little world and the natural magic that inhabits it.
