Artist Statement
Idle Times is a nostalgic ode to the hazy in-between. This collection reflects on periods of life that felt unstructured and unhurried, when youth stretched wide and responsibility was not yet fixed. The works recall soft edges, faded tones, and moments that dissolve as quickly as they form.
Rather than milestones, these pieces focus on pauses— seemingly endless afternoons and nights, and the weight of simply being idle.
Idle Times invites viewers to consider the value of stillness, the overlooked spaces between events, and how important idleness is to help us move through time.
