
Ronald Companoca, “Maker of Dreams”
RONALD COMPANOCA Born in Arequipa, Peru in 1981. He graduated from the School of Arts at the National University of San Agustín in Arequipa in 2002. He has won several awards in painting competitions and has exhibited his artwork in Europe and Central America. The tendency of his art is magical realism with a surrealist bent. The most frequent theme in his works is playful with harlequins, conjurers, magicians, circus acts and mysterious characters in dark environments and with an important presence of animals. The artwork of this Peruvian painter is also characterized by his chiaroscuro technique, like Rembrandt, with a limited range of color that invites the viewer to contemplate and immerse themselves in the world created by the artist.
